hyderabad flood relief
There was a massive destruction in Hyderabad and surrounding areas due to heavy rains and subsequent flooding in Oct 2020. Thousands of families living in the low-lying localities and colonies had to face the brunt of the devastation with heavy rainfall. People had to leave their homes with empty hands to save their lives when floods hit in the midnight. After they got back to their homes once water receded, they found that many of their belongings got washed away in the water or got completely damaged. They were left with almost nothing.
Learning Space Foundation responded to the situation immediately and started distributing the basic relief material like tarpaulins, blankets, towels, sanitary napkins, food and clothes with support from our donors. Move the Wheel Foundation provided financial support for some of these initiatives. Our volunteers and Hope of the Rejected team supported us during distribution of essentials.
Our Objectives:
- To provide basic relief and rehabilitation kits based on their profession for 1000 flood affected families.
